Humphrey Richard “Hugh” Slater (1906-1958 )
Impressive and accomplished signed watercolour of peaches, plums and grapes. Executed with fine detail, the precise stippling and subtle glazes capture the powdery bloom on the plums and the soft skin of the peach surface.
Housed in an ornate Victorian gilt composition frame this piece exemplifies the popularity of naturalistic table still life’s.
